The Minnesota Office of Higher Education produces a guide to assist high school counselors and other educators as they help students prepare and apply for college and financial aid. In 2004, I rewrote the content based on a previous version.

Writing Samples: Habitat Newsletters
The Rice County Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity wanted to keep their volunteers informed and to promote the nonprofit to the county at large. I was asked to design a newsletter and ended up writing the content as well.

Writing Samples: Student Profiles
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education publishes a workbook to help middle school students discover how to use high school to achieve their college dreams. An integral part of the workbook are the profiles of actual Minnesota college students. I interviewed the college students, and then wrote a narrative of their story.
